Upon arrival she is accosted by Dylan Montgomery, who thinks she is someone else. Dylan is in Eastmeadow looking for his brother, who has disappeared after coming to help a woman who looks a lot like Tammy. Their investigation uncovers a lot of things about the only parents she ever knew, her biological family, & Dylan's brother, Cash. And, they are all connected. Secrets, lies, deceit, blackmail, kidnapping, & murder are all interwoven in this mystery.I loved this book! It's full of drama, suspense, & new found love. I can't wait for books 4 & 5 to come out so I can see this family take back what's theirs!

great story line and great series
Great book. It had a lot of action and completely interesting. I can't wait to see how it goes for Cash and little Ellie.
Omg!!! That was such a good book. So much suspense. And romance! I love these type of books. It had me on the edge of my seat. Tammie and Dylan were so made to be together. I need to find out what happens to Cash!!!!!!!

Dylan Montgomery is determined to find his brother—hopefully to find him alive. When he finally meets the woman who last saw Cash, she seems to be playing games with him. Or are things really as strange as they seem to be and she isn't who he thought she was?
Loving this series. Romance doesn't come easy for the men and women in these stories. In the first three books the heroes are all Providence police officers. It's not easy to find romance in the middle of what these men and women find themselves in the middle of. This book was originally published as Cradle of Secrets.

This is Ms Mondello’s book 3 of her series, Heroes of Providence. It was a little different from the previous two, which were excellent. This one is more of a mystery with a little romance thrown in .
The story centers around Dylan, a Marine turned cop , who is looking for his missing brother Cash, a DEA agent. His investigations takes him to a small town where he meets Tammie Gardner. She has just arrived to the town searching for answers of her own. Her parents died in a boat accident and while searching their belongings, she discovers that they are not whom she thought they were. These two characters meet by accident and while sparks ignite , their real aim at the moment is finding their individual answers.
A story worth reading, especially if you like complex mysteries. The conclusion leaves some unanswered questions, but the book can in fact be considered a standalone.
Regardless, I am looking forward to the next stories of these intriguing men and women.
